The Faxon Duty Series Gunner Barrel for the 308 Winchester is manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave. The barrel is machined from 4150 CMV steel with QPQ nitride coating for added durability and longevity. Each barrel is magnetic particle inspected (MPI) to ensure perfect surfaces and sub-surfaces as well as air-gauge tested to ensure superior accuracy. The Faxon Big Gunner is button rifled and features a medium-taper behind the gas block and a gas block journal set to .750″, making it compatible with most common gas blocks. From the gas block journal forward Faxon uses a thinner taper, which is designed to reduce weight yet maintain rigidity for high rates of fire and as a suppressor host. The Duty Series Big Gunner barrels are ideal for use in competition, law enforcement, and military applications.
