The Faxon Duty Series SOCOM Contour Barrel for the 5.56x45mm is manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave. The barrel is machined from certified 4150 CMV steel with black nitride coating for added durability and longevity. Each barrel is magnetic particle inspected (MPI) to ensure perfect surfaces and sub-surfaces as well as air-gauge tested to ensure superior accuracy. The Faxon SOCOM Contoured barrels are button rifled, and are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.
Faxon took the biggest headache out of pinning your gas block by pre-notching the gas block journal and drilling corresponding holes in the included low profile gas block. Each Pinned Gas Block Barrel comes with the pin, as well as a gas block. Gas blocks are hand-tightened to the barrel for shipping. Pinning your gas block, in addition to the use of set screws, gives the user the extra piece of mind that your gas block won’t shift or loosen while firing.
